Shared Reference Library

Every team depends on a reference: product specs, standard rates, approved materials, how-to steps. Usually it's scattered across personal files, or it's one shared sheet that quietly fills up with mistakes. Shared Reference Library lets anyone add to it, and marks new entries unverified until someone checks them.

EXAMPLEAn example of the kind of tool I build. Yours is designed around your own rules and data.

EXAMPLE SCENARIO

A ten-person service company where each tech keeps their own spec notes

BEFORE

  • Five versions of the same spec sheet
  • New staff ask the same person the same questions
  • A wrong value copied around until it caused a callback

AFTER

  • One library everyone searches, on a phone or at a desk
  • Anyone can add an entry; it shows UNVERIFIED until reviewed
  • Every entry links to its source, with a history of changes

SIGNS YOU NEED THIS

  • The answer depends on who you ask
  • One person is the walking reference
  • Shared files have mistakes nobody owns
  • You're nervous about letting everyone edit

USEFUL FOR

  • Service & maintenance teams
  • Labs & quality
  • Manufacturers
  • Associations & nonprofits
