Scan-to-Track

Equipment logs fail for one reason: updating them means stopping work, finding the sheet and remembering to fill it in. Scan-to-Track puts a code on every item, so the moment someone picks it up is the moment it's recorded. The same scan shows its manual, its history and who has it.

EXAMPLEAn example of the kind of tool I build. Yours is designed around your own rules and data.

EXAMPLE SCENARIO

A contractor with tools and test gear spread across several job sites

BEFORE

  • Tools are "somewhere on site" until someone needs one
  • Damage found by the next person, not reported by the last
  • Manuals in a binder back at the office

AFTER

  • Scan to check out or in; who and where are recorded
  • Damage reported with a photo the moment it happens
  • Manuals, specs and service history open from the same scan

SIGNS YOU NEED THIS

  • You buy duplicates because you can't find the original
  • Calibration or service dates get missed
  • The sign-out sheet is mostly blank
  • Requests for gear you don't own go unrecorded

USEFUL FOR

  • Rental fleets
  • Maintenance & facilities
  • Tool cribs & job sites
  • Labs & test equipment
